The following is a bit of ramble and my comments on the last email - it is
mainly aimed at the author (from the quoted letter below) of the last email
and not the reader (as you have the freedom to believe what you may, as I do
too):
Ummm.. I read what this guy had to say and I tend to disagree. Lol
About the only good thing I could get out of that was the patriotism to
Australia. I recon, who gives a stuff about cultural differences. They can
have theirs and I can have mine - Freedom, it is the greatness of our
wonderful country!
WHY must they speak English? If we took that point of view, we would all be
talking Aboriginal, since it's their country really! =] Lol I mean really,
before we point a stick at some poor girl with a veil talking raghead, what
about the true blue Aussy English speaking person running gunshot and
killing the culture of an already established community (Not 700 years old
like the Poms, but 3000 years) over the last 200 years i.e. the
Aboriginals?
I think before we look at immigrants and their beliefs we need to fix our
back yard first..
Think about this. Speaking English in Australia is only a practicality -
everyone needs to speak English here because it's easier to communicate -
not because it's a Christian country!
What made me laugh is the "In God We Trust", which is commonly used in the
USA. It's even printed on their money - are you implying that Aussies are
really a puppet of the USA? :) Before you say anything. Yes I know some
people say it in Australia too. Just revving you up. :)
Umm. In god we trust you write. then you seem to draw a relationship between
the usage of the word "god" and Christianity - its almost as if Christianity
has the sole usage to the word god. I think you would find that other
religions have a god as well.
Some raghead wants their veil on for a license picture.. Big phucken deal..
Hahaha. Not for me, but neither is catholic stuff - Personally I think they
are out of touch, but that's their god given and Australian given right to
believe in whatever they so desire.
The patriotism and common cultural identity of Australia is part of what
makes this country what it is, but remember even ragheads talking gibberish
contribute to the culture of this wonderful country. Italians who are
'integrated' into this may speak da English, but many still have strong ties
to the homeland and their lingo - but still Aussy and by god, they have put
some great bloody dishes on our tables!
I think of all those ANZAC's giving their lives for this country and New
Zealand during the Second World War. What were they doing it for? I would
like to believe it was for us - the future generation.
To stop aggressors attacking our countries and inflicting their tyranny onto
us. To up hold the freedom and self-determination of each individuals
beliefs. If some raghead or poor kiwi wants to come to this country to live,
let them wear their veils and cook in their earth ovens - it's their choice
and right as a free human in Australia - does that make Australia any less
of a GREAT place to be? NO!! It adds cultural diversity to it - it adds
value to your life!
Yes, I agree, Australia's core belief system is a predominately Christian
based - but not every white pome (Prisoner of Mother England) descendant is
a Christian. I uphold its values, but I don't believe in god nor do I go to
church, because I don't believe god exists - But I believe in everyone's
right to believe in what they want, whether it's Islamic, Hindu, god
botherers or whatever. It is their choice.
Get over the white Christian greatness of yourself and accept differences in
people - don't be so scared of other people beliefs.
I mean, if EVERYONE took the view of "I am not a Christian, therefore I
shall leave this country", who would be left? Idiot comment. Move to another
country.
Remember Hitler? Jews in a Christian country - slaughtered because of
bigotry.
Hey, guess what! You can even love different ethic groups if you wanted too!
Hey what an idea - Love rather than Hate - Acceptance rather than
bigotry!?!?
On the Christian view point - Yes it maybe documented that this country was
founded on Christian values - what about the aboriginal foundation of this
country and their dream time? They were here before us, do we now drop
Christianity and become 'dream-timers'? It is all bollocks; because we have
the CHOICE to believe in what we want without bigots telling us what to be
or do.
People could worship worts on a fly's arse and chant to Wort Fly God - I
couldn't care less. Are they happy? Great! Gee, look at that, world keeps
spinning around and Australia is still on the map!
Tell you what - An extremist view point of mine here and I am being the
devils advocate as well - This bloke who doesn't like these new immigrants
and recons they should go home. Take your Christian English speaking bigoted
point of view and piss off home to your old neighbourhoods (I assume
England) full of Indians and Europeans. See how you like cultural diversity
of the UK now.
Jezzz, move on in life and become 'modern' - It really does not hurt that
much..
Put that in your English pipe and smoke it... Oh gee-us. I just had a
thought. Are you French!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
"We have nothing to fear, but fear itself" - Don't fear another culture -
embrace its differences and accept that culture is their belief - Take what
you want and leave the rest...

Our Country ---- The right to leave
This is very true, a little to close to the truth on some things.
After hearing that the state of South Australia changed its opinion and
let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's license with her
face covered prompted this editorial written by an Australian citizen,
published in an Australian newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he?
Read on, please!
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some
individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we
have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.
However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the
"politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that
our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor
do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming
to Australia. However, there are a few things that those who have
recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to
understand. This idea of Australia being a multicultural community
has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.
As Australians, we have our own culture, our own society, our own
language
and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of
struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have
sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic,
Chinese, Japanese, Russian, American or any other language
Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, Learn the language!
"In God We Trust" is our National Motto.
This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this
motto because
Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and
this is clearly
documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our
schools.
If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world
as
your new home,
because God is part of our culture.
If the Southern Cross offends you, or you don't like ' A Fair Go,' then
you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.
We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really
don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY,
Our Land, and Our Lifestyle, and we will allow you every opportunity to
enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping
about our Flag, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I
highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian
freedom, "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE".
I figure if we all keep passing this to our friends (and enemies) it
will also, sooner or later get back to the complainers, lets all try,
please.
No matter how many times you receive it please forward it to all you know.
